Creative and diligent third year student at the University of Derby studying B A (Hons) Textile Design and specialising in weave with experience of print, knit, Photoshop, pattern cutting and manufacture.  A member of the Embroiderer’s Guild with a passion for embroidery and surface embellishment.   Prior to this a career in accounting and administration with skills in MS Office and PowerPoint.   Currently looking for placements in the textile industry.

Education:

  • University of Derby: current project Islamic geometric designs
  • City and Guilds Part I in Creative Textiles and Design – Patchwork and Appliqué; 10 modules studied with 5 made items using designs from 5 of the modules: a box, a child’s cot quilt, a bag, a wall hanging and a cushion.   All work displayed in final show
  • 6 ‘O’ levels
